Task Force Commends Customs
The Lilypond Terminal Customs Area Command has been described as a haven for quick clearing of goods.
Speaking with maritime journalists in Lagos, the Chairman Taskforce. ANLCA/NAGAFF initiative who doubles as Financial Secretary of Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents Lilypond Ijora chapter, Mr. Femi Olabanji, lauded the efficiency with which goods are being cleared at the terminal.
Mr. Olabanji noted that gone were the days when importers and clearing agents sweated it out to get their goods out of Lilypond, saying that from the taskforce's findings goods are effortlessly cleared.
According to the taskforce Chairman, Lilypond has changed for the better for anyone to operate with ease.
He commended the efficient way offcers and staffs of both Nigerian Customs Service and Nigerian Ports Authority are working to ensure quick clearance of goods within the shortest possible period.
Mr. Olabanji advised importers and clearing agents to come and operate at the terminal and get hooked to the uncommon quick and humane services rendered by the staff and officers of the agencies present at the terminal.
He assured all port users to make use of the terminal for their import business, as they have nothing to regret.
The taskforce Chairman who is also the president of Femat International Services Nigeria Ltd said that the new Customs Area Controller in Lilypond? Mr. Julius Odogwu is a listening officer who tackles all problems brought before him without delay.
He also described the terminal manager and the divisional police officer incharge of the area as friendly who work assiduously to see goods released without delay.
Said he: 'Things have changed for better tremendously, entries are quickly processed and goods released without delay at Lilypond".
Mr. Olabanji enjoined any agent having problem with clearing his goods at Lilypond to get in touch with the taskforce.
