Already, the Minister of Industries and the Director-General of the BPE. According to Maduako have been summoned to appear before the law makers over issue of non-implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), entered upon with the workers.
The decision to invite the Minister of Industries and the Director- General of BPE to the National Assembly was taken recently as a last resort to calm the workers against any vandalisation of the multi-billion naira company.
At a meeting with the disengaged workers recently, Maduako regretted that the BPE has breached the agreement between it and the workers and called on the workers to remain calm as the House of Representatives intervene in the matter.
He said the National Assembly decided to wage into the matter because of the seriouness and urgent attention it deserves.
"As I am addressing you now, we have despatched a
letter to the Minister of Industries, the Director-General of BPE and other stakeholders involve in your problem", Maduako said.
"I appeal to you for two weeks", everything about NAFCON including staff salaries and entitlement will have to be settled before NAFCON is said, he stressed.
A representative of the BPE, Alhaji Salisu Muhammad had attributed the inability of the BPE to meet its commitment to the disengaged workers of NAFCON on the inability to privatise the company before the expiration of the period to meet the workers entilement.
