'Adisa, Saraki Govt War over' Kwara State Commissio-ner for Information, Alhaji AbdulRaheem Adedoyin has said the feud between former Minister of Works and Housing, Major General Abdulkareeem Adisa (rtd) and Kwara State Governor Bukola Saraki has ended. Adisa triggered off a media cross-fire with a surprising scathing attack on Saraki's Government in Kwara State. The General had alleged in a publication that Saraki did not win the gubernatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in the State. He also alleged that the government had sidelined old PDP members in his appointments. But Saraki responded swiftly through his Information Commissioner Adedoyin. The government said Saraki won the primaries twice and described Adisa's allegation as unfounded. Adedoyin also said that half of the governor's cabinet is made of old PDP members. The Governor called on the PDP headquarters to call Adisa to order over his consistent attack on the State PDP. The two sides considered the cross-fire as unfortunate and decided to hold fire. Adedoyin confirmed that there was no more press war between the government and Gen. Adisa. "I have spoken with Gen. Adisa, there is no problem, we were just setting the records straight that Dr. Bukola Saraki won the primaries and Gen. Asisa even congratulated him in the media and that old PDP are in the Saraki government there is no problem between the Government and Gen. Adisa again" said Adedoyin. Government sources flatly denied administration's involvement in the public protest against Gen. Adisa last week. "Honestly we had no hand in that protest" said a senior government official.
