Mu'azu Decries Indiscipline in PDP Bauchi From Segun Awofadeji in Bauchi Governor Adamu Mu'azu of Bauchi State has decried the high rate of indiscipline among members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), across the country, calling its Board of Trustees to urgently address the issue, to save the party from imminent crisis. He said by year 2015, if discipline and good governance was made an integral part of the party's policy, Nigeria would become a one-party state, because PDP would sweep elections at all levels. Ma'azu, who spoke while welcoming delegates from the six states of the North-east to the zonal PDP leader and stakeholders meeting held in Bauchi at the weekend, declared that the "fundamental problem we have in our party is lack of party discipline." He, said everybody appears to be lord unto himself." Mu'azu said the hierarchy of leadership "in any system is a reality," and therefore urged the chairman Board of Trustees of the Party, Chief Tony Anenih, to ensure party discipline across the country. Mu'azu, said if the party is able to enforce discipline, Nigerians would be convinced to join the party because of the good governance it is providing for the people. He declared that if PDP could control 28 states and have majority control of local government councils, the indices are clear that the next elections will also go the way of the party, adding that good governance and party discipline could perform the magic."
