Parents Urged to Invest in Education

A justice of the Lagos High Court, Justice Wale Aberu, at the weekend advised parents to invest in the education of their children so as to reap bountifully in future.
Speaking at the formal opening of the school, Aberu said it was true that the cost of educating children was expensive, but said however, that no amount was too much to invest in education.
Lagos State Commissioner of Transport, Mr. Muiz Banire, who was also at the opening ceremony lamented the poor state of education in the country, advising parents to take the education of their children much more seriously.
Education Commissioner, Dr. Kunle Lawal who was represented by a Principal Education Officer, Mr. Hakeem Olalekan also said education was the only inheritance parents could bequeath on their children.
In her address, proprietor of the school, Mrs. Mariam Alimi, said the school was conceived as a high standard educational institution aimed at providing first class educational services.
As part of grooming children for future challenges, Alimi said the pupils of the school had visited the court of Justice Wale Aberuin Badagry, where they watched proceedings while they also visited historical sites in the town.
National President of Parents Teachers Association, Alhaji Babs Animashaun while inspecting the 24 classrooms, the laboratory and other facilities commended the management of the school adding that facilities already in place were of high standards.
"I want to say that the teaching facilities already put in place convince me of the standards available here. If this is what we have in other schools, then the future of our children is assured," he said.
Aberu, who delivered a lecture encouraged pupils to be of good behaviours advising that only pupils of good character could make it to the top.
