N350m for Rural Electrification Gombe From Saka Ibrahim in Gombe Gombe State government has budgeted the sum of N350 million for rural electrification projects this year. Commissioner of Rural Development, Alhaji Samala Mu'azu Hassan disclosed this in an interview with newsmen yesterday in Gombe, adding that the ministry had to make provision for suppelmentary budget to complete abandoned and on going electrification projects. According to him, there are projects inherited from the Abubarkar Hashidu administration that are now being funded by the Damjuma Goje government. Goje commissioned 15 electrification projects during his just concluded local government -tours adding that presently, there were 21 on going projects out of which 14 had been completed, and awaiting commissioning. According to him, "some of the electrification projects were inherited, but we have to make provision for supplementary budget to accomodate what we have on the ground." Hassan promised that the government would soon complete the remaining seven projects and embark on new ones depending on the availability nity of funds.
