FG Extends Closing Date for Schools Registration Ondo From Funso Muraina in Akure Federal Ministry of Education has approved extention of the closing date for registration of private schools, to accomodate others that have not participated in the exercise. This was disclosed by the constulant to the Ministry on statistical survey, Professor Roberts Ogunsusi, who said the extension was informed by appeal from many school proprietors. He said government would use the data bank to distribute materials from international donors to them. Already, local and internation education support agencies are eager to know the correct data of private schools and their needs, so as to assit them. Ogunsusi said government was determined to have data bank on private schools, saying the response was very encouraging. According to him, the World Bank is equally working towards private intitiative, hence the support for the programme, adding that some proprietors forwarded the duly completed statisfical data form to MC Forter solution office in Abuja against the directive that it should be sent to the bank from where it was collected.
