Dope: Americans Have Been Exposed - Jacob No advantage to Nigeria, says Nku By Duro Ikhazuagbe and Juliana Taiwo in Abuja The duo of Saul Wagopwa and Doris Jacob, who won the 400m in both the male and female categories respectively at the recent Mobil Trials in Abuja, have said American athletes have been exposed and the secret of their successes are drug-based. They also believe that following this exposure they will no longer posse threats at major world events. But crowd favourite, Mercy Nku, who placed third with a time of 11.41secs in the 100m at the same competition, insisted that the exposure does not guarantee that it would help Nigeria's cause as other countries have been known to do drugs as well. She said only serious preparation and a clear will to win will help the nation. Wagopwa who spoke shortly after his race, expressed his appreciation to the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), his coach and the German training tour, which he said exposed him to better facilities and opportunity to train among the best. He promised a good outing at the Olympics and is confident Nigeria will pick a medal. On her part Jacob said she has proved her critics wrong by her performance at the event.
