Denmark Cup: FCT Queens Shape Up Win friendly 3-1 Federal Capital Queens of Abuja began the defence of the Denmark Cup on a positive note when they defeated Hjorring FC by 3-1 in a friendly played over the weekend. Saidat Adegoke opened scoring on the 34th minute of the first half and Miranda Odigilia scored the second goal after 43rd minute. Second half saw Fortuna Hjorring's Nigerian import Chichi Igbo scoring a beautifull penalty in the 64th minute while another Nigerian import Agness Egejuru lost a penalty. She hit a tame shot over the bar. FCT Queens increased the tally to three through Mary Nwanonyiri following a nice and calculated effort that hit the post and went into the net. According to the Team Manager of FCT Queens, Hjorring is bubbling as all the teams have arrived and are training seriously, waiting for the competition to kick off. The Nigerian team is receiving support from the wife of Federal Capital City Minister Mrs. Hadiza Isma El-Rufai who is the leader of delegation. Two other top officials are also in Denmark.
