From Jare Ilelaboye in Kastina
The youth leader of the Kastina State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ali Yandoma has warned members of the party in the state to desist from blackmailing elected officials.
In a statement issued in Kastina, the youth leader, expressed dismay over a statement credited to an unknown member of the party in the state, who claimed that the State Governor, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar'adua was running a dictatorial government by not involving members of his party in his administration.
According to Yandoma, the allegation levelled against the governor was totally false and unfounded and that since Yar'adua came into office, he has extended the dividend of democracy to every party member including party elders, saying such allegation was a figment of the imagination of the person who reportedly made the allegation.
On the allegation that the governor has two deputy governors, Yandoma pointed out that such an allegation was not true as the governor saddled his present deputy, Alhaji Abdullai Amichi with a lot of responsibilities such as overseeing the local government directorate, local government services commission and the ministry of religious affairs among others.
Also speaking on the award of contracts to party members in the state, Yandoma said Yaradua administration has been operating one of the most transparent government since coming to power with the award of contract, which he said, had been distributed evenly among party supporters in the state
The youth leader condemned the statements of the party's members, saying could not measure up with the administration's transparent posture. He urged him to join hands with good people of Kastina state in supporting the transformation agenda of the government.
