Black Gold Concert: Banks Involve in Ticket Sales Nigerians have been told to purchase tickets for the Guinness Nigeria's Black Gold concert from Zenith and Metropolitan banks. Organisers said the banks were used to forestall emergence of fake tickets and stampede at concert venues. The tickets are in the ranges of N3,000, N5,000 and N15,000, and would be available from Monday July 27, in all the banks' branches nationwide. Jean Wyclef is top on the bill of musicians for the concert and ticket to watch the live performance of the Haiti-born superstar goes for N5,000 for the first show in Lagos and N15,000 for the second show. For the Port Harcourt concert, fans are expected to pay N5,000, while those of Abuja will pay N3,000. Speaking on the need for fans to buy their tickets early, promoter of the show, Tunde Laface, said to avoid rush, people should buy their tickets as it would not be sold at venues. "It is important to say that we have decided to restrict our sales of tickets to banks and other designated places. Guinness, sponsor of the concert does not want situations that will compromise security and we are keeping strictly to this," he said.
