Yola Scrabble Club President Becomes Monarch By Ayodeji Fashikun President of the Yola Scrabble Club and immediate past Commissioner for Information in Adamawa State has become a monarch. He is now His Royal Highness Hama Bachama Asaph Zadok. Zadok has for years been the host of the prestigious Adamawa Open Scrabble Champion-ship, Africa's biggest cash prize tournament. He has just been made the Paramount ruler of his Kingdom of the Bachama people of Numan. Congratulating the new monarch, the President of the Scrabble Federation of Nigeria (SFN), Chief Toke Aka prayed that his tenure would bring peace and development to the people and the Kingdom. He urged the monarch to remain faithful to the game of scrabble that he contributed so immensely to bring to this stage in Nigeria and Africa. "The good thing is that he is nearer his people now, and you can bet the man we have always known will turn Numan around to a place that will become another Mecca of sports. Don't be surprised that we might be playing Scrabble in Numan come next year." According to Aka, "His investiture comes up sometime in September, and one of his lieutenants has promised a bumper scrabble tournament to go along with it. This is knowing fully well that His Royal Highness is an addict of the board game of scrabble."
