Kanu Eyes Villa Move

Former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu is keen to move to Aston Villa, according to tahe player's agent.

The 27-year-old Nigerian was released by the Gunners in the June, sparking a wave of transfer speculation.

Charlton played down rumours of a swoop for Kanu, while the striker has also been linked with a move to Spain. "He wants to see David O'Leary as soon as possible. He thinks (Juan Pablo) Angel and him can be a good combination," said agent Frank Sedoc.

Sedoc added: "He a fantastic player and a fantastic guy with a great personality. I think there's much more to come from Kanu."

Since when he was released by the Gunners the newly married player has been linked to a number of clubs including Spain's Sevilla, which reportedly were ready to offer $7 million for the services of the former junior international. At one stage it was reported that he would be heading to either Qatar or Japan.
