Attah Has Been Vindicated By Oke Epia The South South Professionals, (SSP) an Umbrella body of Professionals of South South extraction Committed to the upliftment of the South South geo-political zone, has said that the recent clarification of the position of the National Headquarters of the ruling people Democratic Party (PDP) on the party's state of affairs in Akwa Ibom State is a clear indication of the the fact that State Governor, Obong Victor Attah is a Committed Party Leader. The South South Professionals who rose from a meeting in Delta State at the weekend noted that the clarification by the PDP National Secretary, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, that the Party was not probing Governor Attah, rather it was looking into a letter of complaint by the Governor himself, alleging that some stalwarts of the party in the state were engaging in anti-party activities, is a most welcome clarification at this point in time. A statement issued at the end of the SSP meeting noted that "the SSP read the clarification letter to Governor Attah with satisfaction because there was no iota of truth in the earlier purported allegation which was a gross misrepresentation of the facts." The South south professionals further disclosed that from its finding in the state, what happened was that it was Governor Attah who "alerted the national body of the anti-party activities of some PDP stalwarts in the state and insisted that a neutralbody be set up to probe the situation.
