NIM Women Seminar
The emerging workplace with its challenges to female managers and professionals would be one of the main discussion points as the Nigerian Institute of Management's "Women In Management" Seminar holds in Abuja from 19th-20th August, 2004. The seminar had earlier been held in Port-Harcourt and Lagos.
JAYCEES Award
Junior Chamber International Nigeria, Port-Harcourt Metropolitan Chapter has nominated six people for its annual award for business and leadership excellence coming up next Sunday at Delta Hotel, Port-Harcourt. Those nominated are Mrs Ibitoru Ofili of Refcol Environmental Services, (Environmental Development), Mr. Toyin Alabi of Promise Foods (Business Development), Hon. David Briggs (Governmental Affairs), Mr. Israel Ovirih of Niger Delta Mortgage Bankers Ltd (Entrepreneurial Development), Barrister Okey Owhonda, Immediate Past President P.H.C. INSECTICIDE TREATED NETS
The need for Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) as an effective measure against malaria scourge has been emphasised. Oba Rilwan Aremu Akiolu 1, the Oba of Lagos called on Nigerians to embrace ITNs in order to reduce malaria infection to the barest minimum in the country. Oba Akiolu spoke at the launching of community based demand creation and market expansion of ITNs in Nigeria by NETMARK Africa Malaria program, an innovation funded by U.S Agency for International Development (USAID).
Dulop Promotion Result
Dunlop Nigeria Plc last week named four Nigerian winners of the "Joy ride to the Olympic" promotion. The winners, Wilfred Aniekwe, Titilayo Akande, Innocent Eboagu and Chinedu Eze emerged winners in the draws which took place in Aba, Ibadan, Kaduna and Lagos. The winners will be joined by their spouses in an all-expenses paid trip to witness the Athens games. Other winners took away consolatory prizes. In all, 40 winners were picked in the draws designed to reward loyal customers.
FLPNL AGM
The fourth Annual General Meeting of Forever Living Products (Nigeria) Limited held yesterday at the Multi-Purpose hall of the University of Lagos, Akoka. At last year's event, a total of N33million was shared by eleven people, according to their various levels of performance. One person got N18.7 million at last year's event. With more than seven million distributors world wide, and a turnover of almost USD2.8 Billion, FLP offers a range of over 100 different products distributed in over 101 countries.
