FG Urged to Embark on Moral Re-orientation Campaign Lagos By Gboyega Akinsanmi A Lagos lawyer, Prince Adesegun Bola Ajibola has called on the Federal Government to embark on a programme through which moral values could be imparted in the citizenry so as to address some problems confronting the country. Ajibola, son of the international jurist, Prince Bola Ajibola said there was a need for socio-moral orientation because the nation's values were very negative. He added that such terrible values could not give room for growth and development in the country. He explained that it was lack of moral orientation that culminated in the turnout of bad leadership, poor resource management, ethnic clashes and various internal crises betiding the country, stressing that the need to re-orientate Nigerians morally became sine qua non since all the effort of government to save the country had proved abortive. Also speaking on the sovereign national conference, he urged government to work together with the elders in the country for modalities through which a national conference would be convened. Ajibola said convening a national conference would give room for more intimate and interactive exchange of opinions and views as to how the country could be governed in accordance with democratic principles, insisting that it was through such a forum we could faction out an objective legal framework.
