We're Committed to Development, Says Udenwa Imo From Christopher Isiguzo in Owerri Imo State Government says it will continue to accord priority attention to education, health and social welfare sectors for the overall interest of the people and speedy development of the state. Governor Achike Udenwa gave the assurance when a group of Italian Medical Team who are in the state to offer free Medical Treatment to the people paid him a courtesy call. He told the team that the areas of health, education and social welfare are very dear to the state adding that Government had invested so much financially and otherwise to continue to service these sectors. Udenwa noted with happiness and pride the presence of the team to render free medical services to children and women at the grassroots adding that the state had received similar assistance from countries like America, China and Britain. The Governor thanked the group for coming with such number of volunteer Medical personnel and advised that such visits in future be done in conjunction with Government so that it would be able to contribute meaningfully to the programme.
