Echeruo Memorial Lecture Holds July 31 Imo The Echeruo International Centre for Public Policy and Diplomacy, Owerri will hold the second Senator Emeka P. Echeruo Memorial Lecture on Saturday July 31 at Concorde Hotel, Owerri by 10a.m. The guest lecturer is Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, while the chief host is Chief (Dr) Achike Udenwa, Governor of Imo State. The Chairman of the occasion is Chief (Dr) Sonny Odogwu, the Ideahaba of Asaba. The centre which was set up last year in association with Imo State University is an independent academic and service organisation with the principal purpose of continuing Late Senator Echeruo's campaign for the institutionalisation of informed debate on the rights and obligations of citizenship, the concept and practice of public service and the principles of accountability in national service, especially in a liberal democratic society.
