Court Orders Return of Jeep to ALGON Boss osun From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo A High Court in Osogbo has ordered the return of a Toyota Prado Jeep, forcefully removed from the house of Prince Adebiyi Adedotun, allegedly by agents of government. Adedotun, was the National Vice Chairman, Association of Local Government Council Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON), and had at the weekend, instituted a N20 million damage suit against Osun State government for allegedly forcefully breaking into his house to recover the vehicle. A former Chairman of ALGON in the state and chairman of Ila Local Government Council during the regime of Chief Bisi Akande, Adedotun prayed the court to award the said damage cost to him and his household for the inconvenience the agents of government caused them with the invasion. In the suit filed at the State High Court, Osogbo, with number HED/MISC. 06/2003 dated 22nd July , Adedotun also joined the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the state Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General and the state police boss in the suit. A chieftain of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), he said the agents of government forcefully gained entrance into his house at Okinni, Ilobu road, Osogbo, to recover the Toyota Prado Jeep which was allocated to him in his capacity as the National Vice Chairman of the then Association of Local Government Council Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGON).
