Kontagora, Ex-Works Minister's Posters Flood Lokoja From Yinka Kolawole in Lokoja Kogi State capital Lokoja was flooded with the 2007 Presidential postersof erstwhile Minster of Works, Major-General Mamman Kontagora (rtd) by a group which said it intends to draft him into the race. The posters, which lined all the market areas and roundabout all within the metropolis were tagged with the inscription "Dark Horse is fully out". Some of the people, who were displaying the posters admitted that although Kontagora was a greenhorn in the political arena, he would definitely slug it out with former President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida(rtd). During a chat with one of those, who described himself as Joshua Idajili, the group said Kontagora would contest for the presidency against his former boss, who is rumoured to be interested in the same position. He said that a decision would soon be taken on which of the parties either the PDP or ANPP he may likely join to achieve his dream. He said that irrrespective of the party Kontagora is set to join politics and contest for the presidency. He emphasised that with Kontagora's wealth of experience during his days as minster of works and later Federal Capital Territory (FCT) he is qualified for the position. Mr. Idajili stressed that the General would soon voice on his decision to either parely with PDP or ANPP. He stressed that whatever parties he would definately sort it out with General Babangida. The politicain emphasised that his wealth of experince during his days as Fomer minster of works and later Federal Capital Teritory would assist him in government.
