Ogun Governor Commends Gulf Bank Ogun State Governor, Otunba Olugbenga Daniel has commended Gulf Bank of Nigeria Plc over its performance at the capital market, describing its services and customer relations over the years as "unequalled." The governor, who disclosed this Thursday during the formal opening of the Abeokuta branch of the bank, noted that past records of the bank's performance revealed that much has been done towards making the bank highly reputable and reliable in the banking industry. Governor Daniel, who was represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Commerce, Doyin Ogungbe thanked the management of the bank for its efforts in improving the lots of the people of the state, pledging that the government will support the bank in actualizing its lofty desires in the state. "Gulf Bank has demonstrated, through its performance at the capital market and it's yet-to-be-beaten customer relations that it is a reputable reliable and progressive bank. "The bank has made its mark as a foremost beacon of indigenous proactive entrepreneurship and absolute transparency in management," the Governor stressed. In his remarks, Chairman, Gulf Bank, Major General James Oluleye (Rtd.) disclosed that the branch was opened in the fast growing capital of Ogun State not only to provide modern financial services for the people but to also improve the standards of living of the inhabitants. Noting that Gulf Bank as since taken its time to identity the economic potentials and opportunities that abound in the state, Oluleye maintained that the Bank is ready "to support and team up with the State Government in exploiting and actualizing these potentials to the fullest for the benefit of the people".
