PTF Contracts: Panel Told to Investigate All Petitions Following incessant complaints and pleas from Niger Delta communities members of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) Contracts Payments Committee and the Central Bank of Nigeria have been given strict directives by the presidency to thoroughly investigate all petitions before payments on affected contracts are effected. The lawyer representing the Sagbama, Patani and Bori communities was present at the joint meeting to submit their petition indicting one Douglas Rice of Michigan, United States, Mrs Helen Lingbeefong of Singapore and Daniel Ngotty of South Africa. They are said to be the most affected because based on the petitions, they have failed to meet their obligation to the communities where their various contracts were executed. The payment houses in the United Kingdom and Switzer-land namely, Trident Finance and J.P Morgan would be instructed to suspend all payments routed through their institutions.
