The commendation came from the state Director of Transport Mr. S. Agbaje during a meeting with the firm's management at the port complex in Ibafon Apapa, Lagos. He was particularly impressed by the removal of the large number of trucks parked outside the premises, which were perceived to be responsible for the persistent traffic jam on the road. He thanked the Ibru management and other stakeholders for providing alternative space for the trucks. Apart from forcing the trucks to relocate, the management also ordered all banks out of the premises for security purposes. The stakeholders in the complex have concluded arrangements to secure a parcel of land along Oshodi Apapa Expressway, to accommodate the trucks as a permanent park. The Managing Director, ASCON Oil Mr. George Enenmoh, who spoke on behalf of the stakeholders during the meeting, said the companies in the complex were determined to ensure safety of lives and property within the complex in line with the new security code.
