Beautification of Lagos: Akinyemi Berates Ogunlewe By Shaka Momodu Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, former Minister of External Affairs has condemned Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe for his various activities against the progressive Alliance for Democracy, AD- led government of Lagos State. Akinyemi in a statement yesterday, said it was time to call the Works Minister to order to desist from putting pebbles in the wheel of progress of the Tinubu administration in Lagos State. According to him since Senator Ogunlewe became the Minister of Works, it has been war between him and Governor Tinubu over attempts to make life easier for Lagosians. "Firstly the Lagos State government was warned off repairing federal roads that have been in a state of decay for years. Secondly, the Lagos State government and the private sector have been warned off beautification of federal roads. "Thirdly, KAI and LASTMA officials have been warned to stop operating in certain functions. When these functions are not performed, it is government and not a particular layer of government that gets discredited", Akinyemi reiterated.
