Reinstate Dariye After Six Months - Lawmaker Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Information, Youths and Culture, Alh. Hamman Julde has appealed to President Olusegun Obasanjo to reinstate the suspended Governor of Plateau State, Chief Joshua Dariye and members of the state House of Assembly after the six months of emergency rule in that state. He made the appeal yesterday in an interview with THISDAY in Jalingo saying he is in support of Mr. President's action since he has done it in good faith but "my plea here is that after the period of suspension, the suspended elected governor and members of the House should be reinstated." The Legislator commended the giant strides recorded by President Obasanjo since he took over the reins of power as a democratically elected president most particularly the restoration of Nigeria's image to the international community, reduction of poverty in the country, construction of roads and enhancement of security amongst other things.
