Business Activities Pick Up in Osogbo From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo As the nationwide strike embarked upon by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over the recent increase in the price of petrloeum products in the country continues, commercial activities yesterday picked up at various commercial centers in Osogbo. A visit by our correspondent to some of the major markets like Orisunbare, Igbona, Oluode, Akindeko, Oke-Fia, all in Osogbo, businesses picked up considerably. Also commercial taxi operators and motorists were seen going about their normal businesses as intra and inter city human and vehicular movements went on unhindered. Government offices, banks, public hospitals and schools as well as petrol stations remained shut. In a chat with our Correspondent, a community leader, Pa Samson Ibitade appealed to the Federal Government to ensure that petroleum products marketers comply with the court order which directed that they should revert to N38 per litre.
