Filling Stations Disobey Court Order Kwara From Tunde Sanni in Ilorin Filling Stations in Kwara State yesterday ignored the ruling of a Federal High Court judge which insisted on the old price regime, just as Governor Bukola Saraki called for sober reflection and understanding in resolving the impasse on the new fuel price. Petrol stations visited in most areas of Ilorin still sold at N50per litre price, claiming that they are yet to receive directive from their head offices to adjust the pump price. On the strike, there was partial paralysis of government activities as all ministries in the state including the Federal Secretariat along Fate Road were all locked. Except for Government House where governmental activities were pronounced, other government parastatals and offices were locked with gatemen politely turning back all officers, directing them to the strike. Banks and other financial institutions too were locked, though there were partial entrance to some preferred customers. Efforts to get the chairman of the state council of the NLC, Comrade Emman Aiyeoribe proved abortive as he was said to have gone out on monitoring exercise.
