Osun NLC Warns Filling Stations From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo Osun State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) yesterday warned filling stations in the state against charging above the pump price of N38 per litre as pronounced by the High Court, Abuja. In a statement issued by the chapter and signed by its Chairman, Comrade Suleman Oseni in Osogbo, vowed that the union would not accept any price that would contravene the already approved price of N38 per litre. The statement said that the petrol dealers should adjust their pump price to N38 per litre in the interest of peace and harmony in the state. Oseni added that we will not tolerate any act of sabotage because we must all protect this nascent democracy. The union noted that they would not hesitate in moving around filling stations in the state to know who among them would go against the directive court. They pointed out that Nigeria belongs to everyone of us and we must all join hands together to move the country forward. Comrade Oseni, however directed all the workers in the state public service to report to their various duty posts today since the leadership of the NLC has called off the three (3) days nationwide strike. Meanwhile, most petrol stations in Osun State are now charging between N46-N50 per litre. A visit to some Filling Stations in the state revealed that the dealers are yet to comply with the court directive.
