Wada Nas Alleges Threat to Life National chairman of People's Salvation Party (PSP) and former Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Wada Nas, has alleged a plot to assassinate him following an armed attack on his Funtua home in Katsina State on June 9. Briefing reporters in Kaduna yesterday, Nas said a gang of four suspected assassins had invaded his house at about 3.00am that night and inflicted matchet cuts on two of his relations. Luckily for him, Nas explained, "I arrived Funtua from Kano at about 7pm and decided to continue the journey to Kaduna instead of my initial plan to sleep in Funtua. "The attackers entered the storey building through the ceiling of my bedroom and later attacked my relations, who were in the house. In spite of the other household items, they only took away my blanket. "I have been critical of government and once anybody is in that opposition, you cannot rule out this kind of thing," he saud. "But, I am not deterred. I am 66 years old and I will spend the rest of my days to serve humanity, stated Nas who also said that the Katsina state police had already arrested two of the suspects.
