Cleric Condemns Ban on Miracle Broadcast Bauchi From Segun Awofadeji in Bauchi Founder of Bethel Worship Centre for All Nations with headquarters in Lagos, Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi, has condemned the ban of religious miracles on the television stations describing it as unjustifiable. Oduyemi, who made the remark in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, weekend said miracle was part of the ministry and preaching of the word of God, and that there are men of God who have the gift of apostolic anointing to perform miracle. According to him, miracle draw men closer to Christ and "when you ban miracle on television stations, how would people know that there is healing in the name of Jesus Christ.. The ban, he said, was a calculated attempt to stop the expansion of Christianity in Nigeria, wondering why miracle on television was not banned in other parts of the world. "The ban of miracle on television, is a costly mistake and unjustifiable. It is evil because they are trying to hide the glory of the Almighty God", he said, observing that before now, there was a move to stop broadcast of Christian programmes on radio and television. The cleric who said he was in Port Harcourt for a three-day business summit, said Nigerians should not heap the blame of the country's problem on President Olusegun Obasanjo as the problems were inherited. Oduyemi said the way forward was a meaningful dialogue and constructive criticisms, declaring that God did not make mistake by blessing the country with enormous resources. "Government alone cannot correct the problems of this country in one day; to make the country a better place, we need to work together and criticse objectively, because no government has solution to all human problems."
