FA Cup Round One: Iwuanyanwu, Lobi clash

defending champions, Lobi Stars of Makurdi will face second placed premier
league side, Iwuanyanwu Nationale of Owerri in Calabar as the 2004 National
Challenge Cup begins June 23.
On the other hand,
ten teams, including this year’s Confederation Cup entrant, Julius Berger
of Abeokuta,Gombe United, Jigawa Golden Stars, Gabros International of Nnewi,
and Calabar Rovers have drawn bye in the first round of 32.
The fixtures made
available to news men in Abuja also shows that premier league leaders, Dolphin
FC of Port-Harcourt will trade tackles with Kano Pillars in Akure, Kwara United
against Enyimba of Aba in Lagos, Wikki Tourist versus Rangers International in
Abuja while former Mandela Cup kings, BCC Lions of Gboko faces 3SC in Yenagoa.
According to the
fixtures, Works Rangers will play Yerima Strikers in Minna, Anantigha versus
Bayelsa United in Owerri, JC Raiders vs Sokoto United in Kano, Ebonyi Angels vs
Gateway in Akure, Adamawa United vs First Bank in Keffi and Akwa United vs
Zamafara United in Makurdi.
Others are Bufallo
vs SEC FC in Kaduna, Bida Lions vs Makwada in Jos, A Coomasie vs Taraba United
in Damaturu, Dynamos vs El- Kanemi Babes in Abuja, Diskaborg vs Kogi Teachers
in Ado-Ekiti as well as Gombe Lions vs Nasara in Katsina.
