Petrol still N49.50k in Abeokuta
From Charles Coffie Gyanfi

AS at yesterday, fuel stations in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital are yet to obey the Abuja Court order on prices of petroleum products as they were still selling petrol at N49.50 per litre.

This is also in disregard of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) oil marketers and the Federal Government agreement that the price be reverted to the old price of N41.50.

The NLC on Friday suspended a workers three-day old nationwide strike over a recent fuel price increased and on condition that if within seven days, fuel stations in all the federation had not reverted to the agreed price, the strike would resume.

But all the petrol stations visited by The Guardian sold the fuel at N49.50.

Stations visited include: The AP at Ake, Total, Oke-Toku; and Conoil as well as Mobil at Lafenwa.

A petrol attendant at the Mobil station told The Guardian that they were not selling at the new price because since they bought it at a higher price, selling it at the old price would result in a great loss.

At the Total filling station, Lafenwa where it was also sold at the controversial price, an attendant said, they were yet to receive directives from their headquarters to revert to the old price.
