Obasanjo Condoles Wabara, Yobe Gov President Olusegun Obasanjo has on behalf of the Federal Government and the Executive arm of government, condoled Senators and the people of Yobe State on the death of Senator Usman Adamu Usman in a car accident. The President in two separate letters addressed to Senate President Adolphus Wabara and the Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Bukar Ibrahim, said "news of Senator Usman's untimely death was received by us with immense grief and sadness." In both letters, he also noted that 'Senator Usman's contributions to the strengthening of our fledging democracy will be missed by the entire nation, especially his constituents in Yobe State whose interests he laboured hard to promote." The letter added that "as we join you and members of his family in mourning the late Senator, we prayed that God Almighty will grant you courage, solace and equanimity to bear his loss." The President, in the letter which he personally signed and addressed to the Yobe State Governor, asked him to convey his "heartfelt condolence to his family."
