Return Home, Lawmaker Tells Taroh People House of Representatives member representing Wase Federal constituency, Hon Bello Yero, has pleaded with Taroh people who were displaced or fled Wase in the wake of the crises in the southern part of the state to return home. Yero made the appeal in Langtang, while addressing community leaders at the local government council secretari during a joint tour of the National Assembly members to the area recently, and assured that they would no longer suffer any attack from ethnic militias. He appealed to the community to forgive all wrongs and injustice the people in Wase would have meted out to them, stating that the latter were also willing to forgo all differences for the sake of peace and unity. "As a Fulani man, my decision to come to Langtang today is like a suicide mission, ,and I had to take the risk because the situation is getting out of hand. I am appealing to you to forgive and forget the past and return to Wase. My people have resolved to surrender and welcome you back. If Taroh people should kill me today, I am ready to sacrifice my life if it will bring peace to my people", he declared. He averred that he should personally be held responsible for any further breakdown of law and order in Wase, adding that he would ensure safety of lives and property.
