NGO Mobilises for Youth Empowerment Ogun From Toba Suleiman in Abeokuta A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Ogun Youth Employment Mission (OYEM), has been inaugurated in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital with the purpose of educating the youths on their civic and social responsibilies to their immediate environment. The OYEM Chairman, Rev. Olusesi Obateye, in his address at the inauguration ceremony held at the weekend in Abeokuta explained that part of the objectives of the group was to generate ideas towards employment generation and self-reliance. According to him, "we are all gathered here today for a mission, and that mission is to redirect the focus of our youths in guaranteeing their future through good governance within socio-economic and political direction." Obateye said further that future of youths being referred to is to empower "our youths through various economic and political orientation and assistance, towards preparing them for the leadership role of our dear state."
