NUC Approves Katsina Islamic Varsity From Jare Ilelaboye in Katsina National University Commission has given approval for the take off of the Katsina Islamic University. A member of the board of trustees of the institution, Alhaji Biliya Sanda, said this while conducting the Vice Chancellor, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, Professor Tijani Bande round the premises of the institution. According to Sanda, the institution board of trustees is now awaiting the certificate from NUC anytime from now. Bande, who was in the University along with other principal officers, was informed by Sanda that all financial and material issues on the institution had been settled by the board. He said Katsina State government and its local government council contributed significantly to the success recorded at the University, saying all criteria for take-off had been met. Bande expressed optimism that the take off would assist in making Muslims face the challenges of the modern world.
