Five German Fans Fined, One Deported Five German fans accused of attacking Dutch supporters at Euro 2004 have been fined and one will be deported, Portuguese police said on yesterday. The five faced charges of throwing chairs and tables at Dutch fans in Porto early on Tuesday. A judge fined them "various amounts" and four will leave Portugal voluntarily, a police statement said. The judged ordered the fifth supporter to be deported and barred from returning to Portugal for five years. The other four were barred from returning to the country for one year. The Netherlands and Germany drew 1-1 in a Group D match on Tuesday in Porto, about 300 km (200 km) north of Lisbon. Organisers of the European Championship had classified the game as high risk but no incidents were reported at the game.
