Top Executives Embrace IT in Enugu Emmanuel Ugwu, Enugu The number of top business executives in both the public and the private sectors jostling to acquire information technology skills is rising in Enugu. This view was expressed by the training manager of Community Resource Centre (CRC), Enugu, Mr. Kemnechukwu Onyiba, in his address at the graduaton of 13 top management staff of NEPA, saying that IT has become an inseparable part of modern existence whiich cannot be ignored. "If you leave IT, youy leave it at your own peri," he warned adding however "I don't think our people would leave IT." Mr. OOnyiba disclosed that the CRC has so far trained 60 top executives within Enugu in its drive to bridge the IT divide. Speaking to newsmen, one of the gfraduates and asthe chief operatng officedr of NEPA, Enugu zone, Engrr. Chris Okamnonu, called on other organisations to expose their staff to the acquisistion of IT skills because "IT is not just important but necessary in today's living." He expressed the believe that the training programme would impact posistively on NEPA in its effoorts to improve service delivery adding that other staff cadres would in due course benefit from IT training programme.
