Unemployed Graduate Wins Mirinda Star Prize Lagos Miss Elizabeth Uyelumo, an NCE graduate from Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Lagos has emerged as the winner of the star prize of a brand new KIA RIO Saloon car in the "Mirinda Find The Orange" challenge. Other winners include Mr Ejike Eze, a dealer in 7-UP products, who won the 2nd prize of a Laptop Computer and Mr Tobenna Mbelu, another graduate of marketing from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) who won the 3rd prize of a giant Visi Cooler Refrigerator. The competition which took place weekend, at the National Stadium, Surulere, also saw seven other winners of various items ranging from Mountain Bike to VCDs and mobile phones. Winners expressed joy and appreciation to MIRINDA and the organisers for making their day, saying that they never expected to win as the chances of winning and losing were equal. The show was characterised by pre-competitions such as dancing, orange jingling, drinking and walking like the family orange men and ladies from which the best 10 emerged for the raffle draw. It was an exciting day just as it was judged tasking. Yet, most lovers and dealers present both young and old showed much enthusiasm to participate and everyone who participated went home with a consolation prize of either school, hand and business bags or Mirinda T-shirt. It will be recaled that the FAMILY ORANGE had in its nationwide search for orange-tasting Mirinda, visited Ibadan, Ilorin, Aba, Benin, Enugu, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano and Lagos during which they offered rewards to hundreds of people who joined in their search for clues in the Mirinda challenge.
