Institute Urges New Fellows to Be Upright Lagos Nigerian professioals have been urged to conduct and maintain their professional skills in an ethical manner to move the nation forward economically. Making the call was the President, Institute of Management Consultants (IMC)Air Commodore Philemon Agashua (rtd) at a round-table discussion/dinner organised by the institute in honour of members in Lagos. He said management consultants by the virture of their services have affected the productivity, economic and social purposes of the society Managing Director, CDB Trust Bank PLC, Mr. John Udofa and Financial Controller, Piccolo- Brunnelli Engeering Limited, Chief Ugwudioha Mathias Ofili were honoured with fellowship awards of IMC for their moral contribution to the sustainable development of the institute. The president however urged the recipients of the award to be professionally disiciplined rather than putting the institute into disrepute. In explaining objectives of IMC, he said encouragement of training and development of Nigerian consultants and enhancing their standard in both public and the organised private sector were primary. Among other objectives is the collaboration with local and international institutions for the promotion of standards in the consultancy practice and ensuring a standard that will engender public confidence in management consulting profession, Recipients of the award unanimously commended the management of the institute for recognition and confernment of fellowship grade on them at this periodic time, promising to use their respective professional skills to promote and support the insitute to achieve its set goals.
