New Oba Appointed for Esa Oke Osun Osun State Government has approved the appointment of a new Owaminn of Esa Oke in the Obokun Local Govern-ment Area. He is his Royal Highless, Oba Adefemi Akanbi Adediran (JP). A letter signed by Mr. S.O, Owoeye on behalf of Osun State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Development and addressed to the Chairman of Obokun local government, Mr. Ojo Williams, said arrangement, is being made to publish the appointment in the government's official gazette. Appointment of the new Owa-Omiran was made in accordance with section 20, sub-section one of chiefs law, cap 25 of Osun State and with effect from the April 14. In a related development, the Esa Oke centra union has implored the Osun State council of Obas to consider Owa Omiran of Esa Oke as one of the Vice Chairmen of the council. According to Esa Oke central union, Omiran Adebolu who was a member of Olofin family in Ile-Ife was the founder of the present Esa Oke community when he left Ile-Ife in 1184 A.D.
