LG Chairman Lauds Governor for Approving Projects Gombe Chairman of Kwami local government area of Gombe State, Alhaji Abubakar Tafida Moha-mmed has praised the state government for approving the execution of N90.92 million projects in his council. Mohammed while receiving the state governor, Alhaji Danjuma Goje who was on familiarisation tour of the council said the projects would alleviate the sufferings of his people. He disclosed that the projects include the Doho Spur and Mala Sidi roads executed at a cost of N68.62 million. He said the council had also electrified Damkalori-Shuwari Electrification Project at a cost of N10.9 million. Other projects he commended the governor for are Bojude Oramaje Phase One at a cost of N3.5 million, the construction of dispensaries at Kwami which gulped N4.8 million and the renovation of Berin Maternity at N1.5 million. Chairman said "as partners in the endeavour to sustain uninterrupted leadership based on democratic principles and respect for human dignity, the entire people of this local government appreciates the gallantry and enthusiasm with which you execute the affairs of our young state." The governor in his address promised to extend development to rural areas within available resources.
