Red Star Express pledges quality service

By Emma Okonji

Business Reporter, Lagos

Red Star Express, a licencee of FedEx in Nigeria, has pledged its support for customers by meeting their business needs. The company made the pledge in Lagos in a reviewed mission statement shortly after its strategy meeting recently.

A statement from th ecompany said “Red Star Express shall be the best service-driven logistics provider and would, in addition, to its expertise in air express service, provide transportation, warehousing and other supply chain management services that will be prompt, secure and effective through employing, developing and retaining a well motivated workforce, evolving and marketing a range of technology-driven service to meet customers’ needs as well as ensuring that the company’s operations reflect a commitment to quality”.

According to the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Isaac Orolugbagbe, the statement is designed to meet the diverse needs of the company’s customers, as well as increase the quality of service offered by FedEx.

He said FedEx has a challenge of meeting the changing needs of its customers and it is therefore pertinent to review the company’s mission and expand its horizon in other related business areas to accommodate these needs.  He explained that the expansion would improve the quality of service the company offers its customers and also provide an avenue for the growth of the company, explaining that it is driven by the spirit of entrepreneurship. To him, it looks for more market opportunities that it hopes to fill when identified.

He specifically stated that the company’s reputation hinges on quality, reliability and professionalism and that all is geared towards customer satisfaction.
