Mu'azu's Aide Tasks Non-Indigenes in Bauchi From Segun Awofadeji in Bauchi Non-Indigenes in Bauchi State have been challenged to integrate well into their host community and foster peace and unity as well as contribute positively to the development of the state. Special Assistant to Governor Ahmadu Mu'azu on Non-Indigene Affairs and Conflict Resolutions, Chief James Nwele gave the challenge at a meeting with leaders of non-indigenes residing in the state yesterday in Bauchi. Nwele who disclosed the intention of the state government towards creating a conducive environment for non-indigenes to integrate into their host communities also noted that the forum was introduced to them as a platform where they can voice their complains so that government would address them. He added that the forum would also provide the non-indigenes opportunity to come up with ideas and ways of supporting the state government in its developmental strides in addition to ensuring peace, stability and unity within the different communities in the state. Nwele, previously a community leader and renowned politician, appealed to leaders of the Non-indigenes communities residing in the state to continue to preach the gospel of peace, tolerance and harmonious relationships stressing that no meaningful development can take place in an environment characterised by chaos, conflicts and violence.
