Its ambassador to Nigeria, Evaristo Domingos, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, yesterday, that the step became necessary to enable his country gain from such business ventures. "In the past, we used to admit them (Nigerian businessmen) into Angola, but they only enter the country with containers just to sell and do merchandise business in small scale. "This is not useful to our economy. Under our new policy begun three months ago, any Nigerian interested in doing business in Angola must have to first write a letter stating why he wants to go to Angola. "When we are satisfied with his reasons, a team will then accompany such a person to Angola to enable him study the market situation in advance. "The embassy thereafter studies his proposals and decide whether or not to grant the request," he said.
