Adeyinka, outgoing Lagos cj, reshuffles judgesANGELA NKWOTWO days to his retirement, Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Fatai Adeyinka has reshuffled judges, moving them across the state�s three judicial divisions of Lagos, Ikeja and Ikorodu. According to a circular with reference number CJ/JUD/Vol. 1 and dated June 21, those affected included Justice Inumidun Akande who was moved from the commercial division at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos to General Civil Division in Ikeja; Justice Ayotunde Philips from Lands Division in Ikeja to the Commercial Division at TBS; Justice Oke Lawal from Lands, Ikeja High Court to Commercial, TBS. Others are Justice Adefowope Okojie who was formerly of Lands Division, Ikeja but now posted to General Civil Division, Lagos and Justice Alogba to Lands, Ikeja High Court. On the whole, 27 judges were moved from their present location. However, the posting of Justice Wale Abiru of the Badagry Division was not indicated. Also, 10 judges were moved from their divisions, ranging from general civil, family and probate, revenue, criminal, lands, and commercial. Only seven judges were retained at their present divisions and locations. All postings take effect from July 11, according to the circular. However, the directive from the Chief Judge warned that there should not be movement of furniture and equipment from the chambers, except personal effects. According to the circular, all postings take effect from July 11 while the in-coming Chief Judge, Justice Augustine Ade-Alabi, is to give further directives, if necessary.
