We'll do Better Next Year - Keegan The Kogi Teachers Football Club who were kicked out from the first round of the Coca-Cola FA Cup have refocused their ambitions to the 2005 edition. With a voice tinged with the pains of defeat, the coach of the team, Samuel Keegan told THISDAYSports that they would recover in earnest for an improved showing next FA Cup season. "We are out and so this one is gone. But there is still next time. This early exit may be painful but we'll come more ready next year. We will definitely do we next year," Keegan assured the team supporters. The Teachers were paired against Diskaborg FC of Kwara in the first round of the competition and were nipped 1-0 in the match played at the Ado Ekiti stadium. Shittu Olayiwola scored the goal in the 87th minute. The Teachers looked the better on paper before they stepped out on the pitch. They held on that image for quite some time on the pitch as they piled up the pressure. Failure to convert the several chances was, however, their undoing. The winners took the chance that came their way so late. The competition will go into the next after the firs round games are completed. There are first round matches yet to be decided. Top on the bill is the match between Kwara United and the African champions Enyimba. The match will be played in Lagos.
