Minister Stops Eagles Training The Minister of Sports and Social Development, Col Musa Mohammed (rtd) literally stopped yesterday's training session when he came to watch the Super Eagles. As soon as he stepped into the main bowl he had a chat with Austin Jay Jay Okocha, who arrived late Monday night. Moments after the discussion, the training session ended and the players returned to their Nicon-Hilton camp. Coach Christian Chukwu, however, bluntly refused to talk to the press, who had gathered to watch the evening session of the training insisting he will only speak through the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) spokesman, Mr. Samuel Kaalu. The players apparently acting under instructions also refused to say anything to the press. Of the 22 players invited to camp, 12 have so far turned up in camp. Nine of the players initially trained in the morning while evening session had 12. Those in camp are Mikel Obi, Garba Lawal, Rotimi Sunday, Paul Obiefula, Greg Etafia, Vincent Enyeama, Seyi Olanjegbesi, Osazie Odemwengie, Austin Okocha, Christian Ogbodo, Joseph Enahkire and John Utaka.
