Diamond Bank Now 8 Branches Bigger Banking In continuation of its expansion drive and the resolve to bring its culture of service excellence closer to many more Nigerians, Diamond Bank, according to a statement has commenced banking operations in eight new locations Akure, Bauchi, Ilorin, Katsina, Mina, Sokoto, Uyo, and Yola. The eight new branches, which were approved by the CBN under the banks branch expansion programme for the 2003/04 financial year bring the total branch network of Diamond Bank to 51. The new branches are located in Akure, Ondo State; Bauchi, Bauchi State; Ilorin, Kwara State; Minna, Niger State, Katsina State and Yola, Adamawa State. DBL's expansion drive, the statement explained is in line with the bank's vision of achieving effective presence in the country. "From its small beginning in 1991, the bank has made a remarkable growth with branches in all the major commercial centres of Nigeria, including an offshore subsidiary, Diamond Bank S.A, Cotonou, Republic of Benin. "In its over 12 years of operation in the Nigerian financial sector, Diamond Bank ranks among the most vibrant banks in the country with a solid asset base of over N60 billion, " added the statement. With the opening of the eight new branches, existing and prospective customers of Diamond Bank in these areas, the statement disclosed, can now avail themselves of the high quality products and services offered by the bank. With the expected coming on stream of another five branches during the 2004/05 financial year, UBL will boast of a branch network of about 56 branches by April 2005, the statement added.
