Super Story and the popular comedy series, Papa Ajasco and Company, created by Wale Adenuga, recently won the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Award.

At the event held at La Palm Beach Hotel, Accra, Ghana, Wale Adenuga was singled out in the entertainment industry as worthy of the award.

His programmes, particularly Super Story have recorded success beyond Nigeria, as the TV drama series is aired on Metro TV (the biggest private television channel in (Ghana) and commands great patronage among Ghanaians.

In the citation read in his honour, Adenuga was described as a notable social crusader who has used his television production to enlighten his teeming viewers on Malaria, Polio, Reproductive Health, Prostitution, Child Trafficking, Drug Abuse and indeed the dreaded AIDS.

Little wonder he was the choice of management of World Bank-Assisted HIV/AIDS programme, Development Project (Abuja, Nigeria) for a TV Drama Project titled "A call to Action".
